fibre | quilt | Exhibitions | artActually my quilts and fibre pieces travel more than I do! I have just sent off two fibre wall hangings for a show in Penticton called Quilt BC 2013. They will be part of a show by members of Fibre Art Network which is s a group of professional fibre artists living in Western Canada. The FAN show which is called Fibrescapes will be one of five shows connected with the Canadian Quilters’ Association/Association canadienne de la courtepointe National Juried Show. This first show runs from May 16 – 18 2013. After that the FAN show will be shown through out Western Canada for two years.
My pieces are Moonlit Lily Pond and The Good Earth. I have had them finished for a long time just had to find a suitable box and the energy to pack them up – it’s the little things that I find easy to set aside but they are now on their way to sunnier climes. Here in Manitoba we are suffering January weather even though it is Spring and Easter has past but no doubt Spring will eventually arrive.
